PLANET METRIC SCREWED SHANK CENTRE LOCATOR SPHERICAL PROBE

Available as a Starrett S828HZ Wiggler set or as Planet singular probe types. The Starrett set in a plastic case consists of an offset indicator holder and a new chuck to hold four attachments (A,B,C & D) which are snapped in the chuck without removing the collet nut and are clamped by a ball swivel joint permitting angular adjustment or true concentricity.
Point A quickly and accurately locates working centres. Spring tension on the ball of the point guides the point to true concentricity so that the work can be brought into alignment with the machine spindle.
Ball contact B (0.250" diameter) also locates the work particularly in slot, hole, shoulder, end etc. applications.
Disc contact C (0.100" diameter) permits use in more confined areas.
Offset indicator holder D, used in conjunction with dial indicators can sweep holes or OD's for concentricity, establish centre distances etc.
